Security built into the meeting follow-up workflow
Chiefora handles meeting notes, transcripts, and follow-up records. The application uses authentication, workspace membership checks, and database access controls to help keep each organization’s records within its workspace.
Security controls reduce risk, but no online service can promise absolute security. Avoid importing content you are not authorized to share or process.
Workspace access and data boundaries
Workspace access is based on membership and roles. Authorized members can access content imported into their workspace; administrators manage membership. Review workspace members before adding sensitive meeting material.
Fathom connections and the pre-import meeting catalog are scoped to the connected user and organization. An imported meeting becomes shared workspace content.
Fathom connections use OAuth
Chiefora uses Fathom OAuth so customers authorize access through Fathom. Chiefora does not ask customers to paste API keys. OAuth tokens are kept server-side and encrypted in the database; they are not included in client pages.
You choose meetings to import. Disconnecting removes the local connection and private meeting catalog; revoke Chiefora’s authorization in Fathom settings to end provider access as well. Meetings already imported remain in the workspace until removed through the available workspace process.
AI processing and human review
When you request analysis, relevant meeting text is sent from Chiefora’s server to its configured AI provider. Chiefora does not send a bot into calls or record audio. AI suggestions remain for review until a person confirms them.
AI provider retention and processing are governed by the provider’s applicable terms and Chiefora’s configuration. Do not treat AI output as a verified transcript or final decision without checking the source.

Use workspace membership controls to manage who can see organization content. Disconnect integrations you no longer want to use, and contact support@getchiefora.com with security or privacy questions.
